Your gifts are essential to sustaining our programs. Revenue from course fees goes to cover our operating costs but is not sufficient to fund our outreach programs – our donors make all the difference!
The following programs are in need of support:
Full and partial scholarships to assist those faced with financial difficulty that need CPR and / or First Aid Certification for one of the following reasons:
- Family Members or Caregivers for people diagnosed with a cardiac condition
- A person trying to enter or re-enter the workforce or start an educational program
- Foster Parents
Low and No-Cost Community CPR and First Aid classes for people wanting to learn the skills of CPR but who do not need a certification. Our Director, Tara Raine, and other Training Faculty volunteer their time to conduct these classes in an effort to strengthen the Chain of Survival in our communities by eliminating the delay of CPR in cardiac arrest.
CPR for Schools
In order to help schools comply with new state laws, we offer CPR Instructor Certification training to qualified teachers. We strongly feel that experienced teachers are by far the most qualified people to bring CPR education into their classrooms. Our CPR for Illinois Schools Program allows motivated Illinois elementary and secondary teachers to become certified as CPR Instructors so that CPR can be brought into the schools in an efficient and cost-effective way. Teachers are given support and assistance as needed with preparing for and conducting classes.
Without your support, we would not be able to reach out to all members of our community. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
