AHA Heartsaver / CPR / AED

Time: 3 Hour Class

Course Completion Card: Two year American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR / AED Card issued upon successful completion. 

This class meets DCFS requirements for adoptive and foster parents and is approved for 0.4 CECs for ACE Certified Trainers and Instructors is eligible for 3 Continuing Education Development Units  (CPDUs) for Illinois teachers.

Prerequisites: None

Description:  This class teaches cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of chocking.  Procedures are covered for:

  • infants – under 1 year of age
  • children – 1 – 7 years of age
  • adults –  age 8 and over

The goal of this class is to allow participants to perform CPR in the event they are faced with it and confidently operate any brand or type of AED. Specific training on the AED model you have can be conducted upon request.

This class provides the credential needed by:

  • Adoptive Parents & Foster Parents
  • First Response Team Members
  • Personal Trainers
  • School Personnel

This class can be discounted for groups of 4 or more at our office or for 6 or more at your location in Central Illinois.
